Recruiting the $SAYLOR Crew: Press Gang Style ⛵️

On Monday 21st November, the $SAYLOR project will be two weeks old and we want to create a vibrant, active community. The $SAYLOR team are committed to building something special on the Stacks blockchain and love our nautical themes. So what better way to recruit new members to our growing crew than by embracing a press gang-inspired engagement drive?

What Is a Press Gang?

Historically, a press gang was a group of sailors or officers tasked with recruiting crew members for naval service. Sometimes this recruitment was, shall we say, enthusiastic - with potential recruits “pressed” into service whether they wanted to or not. Of course, we’re all about voluntary activity and rewards here at $SAYLOR, so we’ll take inspiration from the spirit of camaraderie and adventure, leaving the coercion in the history books!

In our community-driven, crypto-flavored take, the $SAYLOR Press Gang will be a recruitment drive where new recruits are rewarded for their $SAYLOR buys and engagement and current $SAYLORs earning rewards for their efforts.

The $SAYLOR Press Gang: How It Works

Here’s how the $SAYLOR Press Gang will work:

1. Recruit more Crew: Hodlers (current $SAYLOR holders) are invited to share the press gang X posts with their followers, create memes and generally share why they are excited about $SAYLOR. The post with the most engagement will win a prize of $100 worth of $SAYLOR.

2. Prove the Recruitment: New recruits will need to complete three simple tasks to confirm their onboarding, buying $SAYLOR on Velar (Minimum 10 $STX buy), following our X account and joining our Telegram channel. They then must confirm this by posting on X about their love for the $SAYLOR community.

3. New recruit Rewards: New recruits will earn an extra 10% on top of their purchase(s) from the team wallet. (Must share their tx by sending a DM to the @Sayloronstx X account.)

4. Hodler Rewards: All Hodlers earn a bounty of $SAYLOR tokens for every purchase over the next seven days, the team will match with a 15% contribution to all hodlers via an airdrop. (e.g. say a total of 1000 $STX buys are made, 150 $STX worth of $SAYLOR will be airdropped to active community wallets.)
